Our Pastors

With roots stretching back to the Azusa Street revival at the turn of the twentieth-century, Rev. Sloan Parker is a third generation Pentecostal and a second generation pastor. After receiving an AA in the Philosophy of World Religions from Three Rivers College in 2010, he went on to pursue a BA in Christian Ministry at Messenger College where he majored in Biblical Exposition. Next, he and his family relocated to Wheaton, Illinois, where he obtained his MA degrees in Systematic Theology and the History of Christianity from Wheaton College Graduate School. 

       Throughout his academic career Pastor Sloan has been the recipient of a number of honors and awards. In 2012, he graduated with highest honors, Summa Cum Laude and was Salutatorian of his graduating class. In 2014, he received the Elizabeth Wymond Richmond Memorial Award from Wheaton College Graduate School for academic excellence and holistic service to Christ. In 2015, he graduated from Wheaton College Graduate School with honors, Theta Alpha Kappa. He continues to participate in academic scholarship by holding memberships in a number of professional societies, including, the American Academy of Religion (AAR), the Evangelical Theological Society (ETS), and the Society for Pentecostal Studies (SPS). He is a critic for Baker Academic Publishing, a Theological Editor for New Identity Magazine, and the Vice-President of a nonprofit organization.

       Erin is not merely “the pastor’s wife.” She is an accomplished Christian business professional developing her skills while discerning her vocation in order to put her gifts and talents to work in the name of Christ. In 2012, she graduated with her BS degree in Math and Teaching from Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri. In 2017, she received her MBA from Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Illinois. Currently, she works for Wheaton College, and is prayerfully considering pursuing her credentials with the Assemblies of God.
